Every Cherry & Black cake is made entirely from scratch using ingredients chosen for flavour, provenance, and quality. Our curated flavour compositions are what take your wedding cake from being great to unforgettable.

  • Free-range eggs sourced locally
  • British milled flour and unrefined sugars

Twelve signature flavours

Madagascan Vanilla & Raspberry

A classic pairing elevated by the finest Madagascan vanilla bean and a sharp, house-made raspberry compote. Clean, elegant, and universally loved.

Salted Caramel

Layers of soft caramel sponge with a house-made salted caramel ganache. Rich without being heavy, with a gentle finish of fleur de sel.

Belgian White Chocolate & Raspberry

Callebaut white chocolate lends a creamy sweetness, balanced by a vivid raspberry jam made in-house. A crowd-pleasing favourite.

Lemon & Blueberry

Zesty lemon sponge with a blueberry compote and lemon curd buttercream. Bright, fresh, and perfect for summer celebrations.

Lemon Drizzle

A Cherry & Black take on a British classic. Fragrant lemon sponge soaked in a sharp drizzle syrup, finished with a light lemon cream.

Pistachio & White Chocolate

Ground Sicilian pistachios give this sponge a delicate, nutty character, offset by a smooth Callebaut white chocolate ganache.

Spiced Carrot

Warmly spiced with cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg, layered with a cream cheese frosting. Deeply satisfying and always popular at autumn weddings.

Coffee & Walnut

A refined take on an enduring classic. Strong coffee sponge with a toasted walnut praline buttercream — rich, nutty, and deeply satisfying.

Chocolate & Salted Caramel

Belcolade dark chocolate sponge layered with a house-made salted caramel ganache. Indulgent, complex, and consistently one of our most requested flavours.

Chocolate Orange

Dark Belgian chocolate sponge with a bright orange curd and chocolate ganache. A festive favourite that works beautifully year-round.

Boozy Guinness Cake

A show-stopping dark sponge made with Guinness stout, layered with a dark chocolate ganache and a whisper of cream cheese. Bold and memorable.

Red Velvet

Velvety red sponge with a mild cocoa character, paired with a classic cream cheese frosting. Striking to look at, even better to eat.

Taste before you commission

Choosing your flavours is one of the great pleasures of the commissioning process. Cherry & Black offers both in-person tastings and postal tasting boxes so you can try your shortlist of flavours either at your leisure at home or while discussing your plans with Kathryn over a cup of coffee.
